Guangxi Province is Adding a New 500kV Power Substation

On September 6th, the 500kV power transmission and transformation project in Meilin was officially put into operation, which further improves power network structure of Southeast Guangxi and provides sufficient power for Longtan Industrial Park and Yuchai Manufacturing District, playing an active role in accelerating the process of new industrialization.

One 1 million kVA transformer, three 500kV outgoing lines as well as eight 220kV outgoing lines will be constructed during this period while three 1 million kV transformers, ten 500kV outgoing lines as well as fourteen 220kV outgoing lines will be constructed ultimately.

As a key project of the China Southern Power Grid and the Guangxi Power Grid, the 500kV power transmission and transformation project in Meilin is an important decision made by China Southern Power Grid to support local economic development. This project can meet power demand of Yulin's fast developing economy and is of great importance to improving power network structure of Southeast Guangxi. It also helps to enhance quality and safety of supplied power and ease contradiction between power supply and demand, accelerating the process of new industrialization.
