One-year Voltage Withstand Test for 500 kV Cables: Pre-qualification Test (PQ)

Applicable Standards: IEC 62067:2022, GB/T 22078.1

1.1 Basic Parameters (Rated voltage 500 kV, maximum system voltage Um=550 kV) Phase-to-earth voltage U0: 290 kV
Test voltage: 1.7U0 (493 kV, AC power frequency)

Duration: No less than 8760 hours (approximately 1 year)

Test frequency: 50 Hz (permissible range: 45 ~ 65 Hz)

1.2 Test Sample & Layout Requirements

Test object: Complete cable system, including cable and all types of accessories (terminations, joints, etc.), at least one set for each type.

Cable length: Minimum 100 m; the free cable section between accessories shall be no less than 10 m.

Installation method: Adopt single or combined laying modes according to actual operating conditions, including direct burial, duct laying, tunnel installation and overhead laying.
